BElgrado Meeting,
On 07 September 2017 was held in Belgrade the 5th EUROMENE meeting.- The meeting discussed on different topics with the main aim of the synchronisation regarding epidemiology research on biobank protocols and ethical framework by WG1.
- The WG2 presented the synchronisation on biomarkers data.
- The WG3 argued on the burden of ME/CFS to society and provide long-term trend estimates for societal impact. The WG4 examined the difference among clinical criteria used by European clinicians.
- WG5 and WG6 exposed of the encouragement for the dissemination of the COST project by the communication office in Brussels and the updates on EUROMENE website.
The meeting was introduced by local meeting
chair Slobodan Sekulic (Serbia) and COST Chair Modra Murovska
(Latvia).
The first part of the meeting was dedicate to
inform on different activities of the EUROMENE group. Evelina
Shikova (Bulgaria), Enrica Capelli (Italy), gave information on
Training school held in Pavia, a review, problems to consider when
organizing next school, evaluation from the trainers and
trainees side. Els Tobbak (Belgium), Carmen Adella Sirbu (Rumania)
told on current situation with STSM and how to increase activity of
ECIs in participating countries.
Lorenzo Lorusso (Italy) and Evelina Shikova
(Bulgaria) infomed on interaction with the COST Office
Representative Silvia Alexe on dissemination (what is done, how to
increase dissemination activity). Jesus Castro (Spain) and Slobodan
Sekulic (Serbia) discussed on activities of WG1 after
Barcelona meeting (what is done, results).
Carmen Scheibenbogen (Germany) and Enrica
Capelli (Italy) told on activities of WG2 after Barcelona
meeting (what is done, results).
Elin Bole Strand (Norway) and Jerome Authier
(France) made an update on activities of WG3 after Barcelona meeting
(what is done, results).
Derek Pheby (United Kingdom) discussed on
activities of WG4 after Barcelona meeting (what is done, results).
Lorenzo Lorusso (Italy) and Anne Marit
Mengshoel (Norway) told on Webpage, information and involvement of
SMS and patients organizations.
The second part of the meeting was chaired by
Leader Jesus Castro-Marrero (Spain) and Vice-leader Slobodan Sekulic
(Serbia) discussing on activities of the WG1 Epidemiology.
